Missie en visie internationalisering op onze school

Het Stedelijk Onderwijs kiest bewust voor wereldburgerschap. Elke lerende is een actieve wereldburger. Wereldburgerschap kenmerkt zich door het leggen van contacten tussen jezelf en anderen, dichtbij en ver weg. Jongeren worden zich bewust van de wereld om hen heen. Een ruimere kijk op de wereld versterkt onze schooleigen doelstellingen. Internationalisering is daarom een essentieel onderdeel van ons onderwijsaanbod. Het projectmatig samenwerken met internationale partners binnen gesubsidieerde en niet-gesubsidieerde onderwijsprogramma’s stimuleert het toekomstgericht en innovatief werken en draagt bij tot het aanbod van maximale ontplooiingskansen voor iedere lerende. Door internationale samenwerkingsverbanden aan te gaan kunnen we ons ook buiten Vlaanderen profileren en positioneren als een lerende en innoverende school. Internationalisering als onderdeel van ons pedagogische project bevordert de ontplooiing van wereldburgerschap en de integratie ervan in de maatschappij. Internationale projecten zijn geen doel op zich, maar een middel om de eindtermen en ontwikkelingsdoelen te bereiken. We exploreren en stimuleren talenten en competenties in een ruimer leer- en leefklimaat buiten onze eigen grenzen. Dit in dialoog met alle participanten.

• De leerlingen van 6 gezondheids- en welzijnswetenschappen gaan voor 3 weken naar Malta
• De leerlingen van 6  opvoeder-begeleider (jeugd- en gehandicaptenzorg) gaan voor 3,5 weken naar Portugal
• De leerlingen van 7 kinderzorg en 7 zorgkunde gaan voor 3 weken naar Italië
• De leerlingen van 7 specialiteitenrestaurant gaan voor 4,5 weken naar Malta
• De studenten HBO5 verpleging gaan voor 3 weken naar Spanje

We begeleiden Erasmus+ leerlingen uit Finland.

In 2020 behaalde onze school een accreditatie voor 2021-2027.

'Het Erasmus+ project Onbegrensd talent dat afliep in 2020 was zo goed dat het een EPOS-kwaliteitslabel verdient', schrijft Jill Peiffer, directeur van EPOS Vlaanderen. Het project kreeg een heel goede eindevaluatie met hoge score en wordt als ‘voorbeeld van goede praktijk’ gedeeld in Europa.

The “Stedelijk Onderwijs” Municipal Education purposefully chooses to invest in world citizenship. According to us, every scholar is an active global citizen. Global citizenship is characterized by making contacts with other organisations and schools, nearby and far away. That is how adolescents can become aware of the world around them. This broad view on the world reinforces the goals of our own school. Therefore, internationalization is an essential part of our education. Project-based cooperation with international partners in subsidized and unsubsidized education programmes stimulates future-oriented and innovative functioning and maximizes development opportunities for every scholar. By making contacts abroad, we profile ourselves to the outside world as an innovative school. Internationalization as a part of our pedagogical project improves the development of our students’ global citizenship and their integration in society. The international projects are not goals as such, but means to achieve our educational objectives. We explore and stimulate talents and competences in a broad learning and living environment. We do all this through close dialogue with partners at all stage.

• The students of “health and well being Sciences” follow an internship of 3 weeks in Malta.
• The students of “Youth and diasbled care” follow an internship of 3,5 weeks in Porrtugal.
• The students of “Child Welfare” and “Elder care” follow an internship of 3 weeks in Italie.
• The students of “ Specialization in the Kitchen” go for 4,5 weeks to Malta.
• The HBO5 nursing students go to Spain.

We supervise Erasmus+ students from Finland.

L’enseignement communal s’est engagé résolument sur la voie de la citoyenneté mondiale. Chaque élève est considéré, en effet, comme un citoyen actif du monde. La citoyenneté mondiale signifie établir des contacts avec les autres, tout près ou loin de chez nous. Pour les jeunes, plus particulièrement, c’est une véritable prise de conscience du monde qui les entoure. Une vision plus étendue du monde renforce les objectifs déterminés par notre école. Voilà pourquoi l’internationalisation fait partie intégrante de notre offre éducative.

La force de la collaboration avec des partenaires internationaux au sein des programmes éducatifs, qu’ils soient subventionnés ou non, stimule un mode de travail innovatif, orienté vers le futur. C’est une véritable coopération qui garantit à chaque élève de meilleures perspectives d’épanouissement personnel. De très nombreux exemples de collaboration internationale nous permettent de nous profiler, hors des frontières de la Flandre, comme un véritable établissement scolaire apprenant et innovatif. L’internationalisation fait partie de notre projet pédagogique et favorise aussi bien la prise de conscience de la citoyenneté mondiale que l’intégration dans notre société.

Les projets internationaux ne constituent pas une fin en soi mais un outil pour réaliser les objectifs finaux et les objectifs de développement de notre enseignement. Nous explorons et nous stimulons des talents et des compétences tout en créant un climat favorable d’apprentissage loin de nos frontières. D’autant plus que ce processus est marqué par un dialogue continue entre tous les participants.

Les élèves en terminale ‘Sciences de la santé et du bien-être’ iront, pendant trois semaines en Malta.
Les élèves en terminale ‘Educateur spécialisé pour la jeunesse et pour l’accompagnement psycho-social’ partiront pour trois semaines en Portugal.
Les élèves en septième année ‘Auxiliaire Puériculteur’ et ‘Aide-soignant: soins aux personnes âgées’ travailleront pendant 3 semaines dans des crèches, des MAC, des EHPAD et des MR dans la région de Italy.
Les élèves en septième année ‘Spécialités de la Restauration’ travailleront dans le monde de la restauration et de l’hôtellerie maltais.
Les étudiantes en soins infirmiers HBO5 partent en Espagne.

Nous supervisons des étudiants Erasmus + originaires de Finlande.
